Ian Reuben, Barnet ManagerIAN REUBEN (FNAEA) – BARNET

I am now well into my third decade in the Estate Agency profession, and I have to say, that I am enjoying it just as much now, as I did then.

I started back in 1973, working for Druce & Co., a large and well established firm of Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents in central London, gaining valuable experience in various departments, such as residential, surveying, hotel etc.

I then progressed to manage the residential departments of various Estate Agents in central/north London, such as Bargets, Norman Hirshfield Ryde & Browne, Haart, and joined Andrew Ward to manage the Barnet office in 2002. I am proud of the achievements and continued success of the Barnet office, which I could not have achieved without the enormous backing from a very talented and hard working team.

I have always believed in professionalism, honesty and integrity, and to this end, I was elected in 1984, as a Fellow Member of the National Association of Estate Agents (FNAEA).

Away from work, I have two children, Alexander, who achieved an Actuarial Degree and is now working for a firm of investment bankers in central London, and Jade, who is a Public Relations consultant, whose clients include many celebrities, both from the world of sport, music and the media.

My hobbies include travelling, cinema, reading, football golf and charity work.

John Reynolds, Potters Bar Manager

JOHN REYNOLDS– POTTERS BAR

I began my career in Estate Agency in 1980 in Watford working for a well respected and established company called Gordon Hudson & Co, with offices in Hertfordshire and Hampstead Garden Suburb. I dealt mainly with residential sales as well as gaining experience in Lettings and Commercial agency. I then left to Manage an office in Tring Hertfordshire, for Chiltern Estates.

In 1990 I moved from Tring to Potters Bar as my wife needed to commute to London and we felt that this town was an ideal place to live. I managed Woodard Picard & Co in Darkes Lane for eleven years and when the proprietor decided to retire in 2001, I came to manage the Potters Bar branch of Andrew Ward and am supported by an experienced and helpful team.

I have a young daughter called Joanna who is at school in the town and I have built up many friendships over the years, some of which I’m pleased to say are with ex-clients and I have been well supported with a lot of ‘repeat business’.

Vanessa McCallum, Brookmans Park ManagerVANESSA McCALLUM – BROOKMANS PARK

I have been in sales all my working life. I started work as an Estate Agent in March 1999, where I was employed at the Brookmans Park office of Andrew Ward Estate Agents. I started at the bottom and have worked my way up to managerial level and have been in the same office ever since.

The job is extremely varied, challenging and enjoyable, and we have a strong team at this office. Over the years I have built up good relationships with Vendors and Purchasers alike, many of whom have come back to me for repeat business, which to me is extremely important.

I worked previously selling memberships in a local Health Club, which was enjoyable, but not fulfilling enough. Prior to that I worked as a Travel Agent for 5 years. I worked in Borehamwood, Enfield and Marble Arch, London as a Customer Services Manager. I have always enjoyed working with the public, and believe integrity and honesty are a must.

I am happily married living nearby with my husband and daughter. I have a very close relationship with my family all of whom live locally. I enjoy travelling, shopping, and socialising with my friends.
